Ahh, the joys of getting older. Up until now, I’ve only had to worry about breakouts. But it seems that lately, I find myself having to address breakouts and dry skin and wrinkles. I’m confused. Am I going through puberty? Or am I approaching middle age? Seriously complexion, make up your mind. So finding the right cosmetic products has become quite the challenge. I recently decided I needed to find a new foundation: one that would provide nice coverage, while hydrating my skin without causing breakouts. Oh yeah, and did I mention that it needs to be free of dangerous chemicals too? The answer for me was clear: mineral makeup. It’s free of harsh chemicals and driven by nourishing minerals that can actually help sensitive and acne prone skin…a healthy alternative to traditional makeup. But even with all those qualities, it’s not always easy to find the right brand.
Fortunately, I’ve found a winner in Youngblood Liquid Mineral Foundation, Deep Sea Hydrating Complex. I love this foundation! It keeps my skin hydrated (yet not oily) and leaves a silky smooth finish. It provides great coverage and offers many shade options so one can find the perfect match for any skin tone. I initially apply it with a brush, then smooth out the rest with my fingers and a makeup sponge. I top it off with a bit of mineral pressed powder (I love Larénim’s), leaving my skin with a lovely matte finish and a radiant glow. This foundation stays put throughout the day and does not cause breakouts. What more could a girl ask for? I found my mine at the local beauty supply store, but you can also order it online.
